Just as our herbs, vegetables, cereals and legumes need time, sun, water and lots of care to grow well so our farming estate La Selvella has blossomed over a period of 20 years. We have put our heart and soul
into cultivating our land. Cornflowers, lavender, marigolds, savory, thyme, tarragon, yarrow, hyssop, lemon balm, lemon verbena; cereals and legumes, fruit and vegetables all grown using permaculture.
We are a Certified Organic Farm.
From our olive groves we produce high quality organic extra virgin olive oil.
We will be happy to take you on a guided visit of our farm giving you the opportunity to meet our geese, ducks, pheasant and various breeds of poultry.
Our donkeys are also part of the family; Olivia who is a breed from the Amiata mountain and Iside a Sardinian breed. The Shetland pony Pippo, and our goats Carmela and Bambi.
Children and adults alike can learn about and handle our four legged and feathered friends.
During the tour you can also learn about the various activities involved in running the farm as well as getting some hands on experience for example, by collecting the produce or making homemade pasta.
La Selvella is eco-friendly, respecting and preserving biodiversity.
Most of the energy consumed at La Selvella comes from renewable sources.
Solar panels produce electricity, heat pumps optimise the energy produced and provide central heating and hot water.
