La Selvella provides its guests with a hearty breakfast using their own free-range eggs, homemade cakes and biscuits, as well as a large selection of local cured meats, a variety of bread, fruit juices and yoghurt.
For dinner La Selvella offers a fixed menu of Tuscan dishes using organic homegrown vegetables, cereals and legumes mostly coming from our own
permaculture vegetable garden. Homemade pasta and a selection of locally raised meat all cooked with large doses of care and passion. We wish to pass on to our guests our love and respect for this land which plays an essential role in our life and cuisine.
At la Selvella you can learn how to make typical dishes of the Val d’Orcia, such as homemade pasta and the delicious sauces that accompanies it.
Traditional meat dishes and a wide variety of vegetable dishes all using locally sourced organic products. The lessons are a fun, learning experience where local culinary tips and traditions will be shared as well as our enthusiasm.
La Selvella works in collaboration with the Val D’Orcia e-bike rental, that organises guided tours of the Val D’Orcia, Monte Amiata and Monte Cetona, as well as exploring the medieval pilgrim route the via Francigena which passes right through Radicofani.The bikes can be brought directly to La Selvella.
There is a riding stables only a few kilometers away with paddocks, both open and closed, a gallop track, a saddlery, blacksmith and club house. Lessons are available and the opportunity to explore the area on horseback. Suitable for children.
We can offer fun excursions into the local countryside with a qualified truffle hunter Gianni and his dogs in search of both black and white truffles depending on the season.
